The market for new electric vehicles in Ukraine: results for June 2025
The Ukrainian car market continues to transform towards electrification. In June 2025, a record number of new electric vehicle registrations was recorded - 1,396 units, which was the highest figure for the new BEV segment in Ukraine for the entire observation period. This indicates a growing demand for modern, environmentally friendly and economical vehicles among Ukrainians.
Who is leading?
As expected, the leader of the rating was again the BYD Song Plus — 221 new registrations. This model has been at the top of the list of the most popular electric cars for several months in a row. BYD's success is explained not only by its price, but also by its good equipment, attractive design and high-quality assembly.
In second place was the Volkswagen ID.4 — 141 new cars. This electric crossover continues to be in demand among Ukrainians who appreciate European quality, reliability, and modern technologies.

The Honda M-NV has unexpectedly shown high popularity — 80 cars have been registered. This model is gradually gaining ground on the Ukrainian market due to its balance between functionality and price.
The top five are rounded out by the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (75 cars) and Nissan Leaf (72 cars), which have long established themselves among Ukrainian users.
The second part of the TOP-10 includes the BMW i4 (63), Zeekr 001 (56), Hyundai Kona (55) and BMW iX (42). The presence of two BMW models indicates stable demand in the premium segment as well.
China is advancing
Market analysis shows: Chinese brands are confidently strengthening their positions in Ukraine. Models from BYD, Zeekr, Honda (which produces M-NV specifically in China for the domestic market) demonstrate increasing demand, displacing traditional players. The main factors of this success remain competitive price, fast delivery times and a wide selection of equipment.
At the same time, European and American electric vehicles do not give up their positions, remaining popular among those who value branded quality, innovative solutions, and image.

June statistics confirm that electric vehicles have finally taken root in Ukrainian car showrooms and consumers' minds. The growth in the number of new registrations is a signal to dealers, importers, and government agencies about the need to develop infrastructure, service, and legislative support for electric vehicles.
The market is moving in a direction where environmental friendliness, economy, and technological sophistication are no longer the future, but the real present.
